About Us

Ed Welsh is the Founder and Managing Principal of Prime Talent Group. Ed has committed his career to becoming an industry leader at uncovering A+ talent and delivering exceptional service to his clients. He brings over 14 years of experience, with a unique combination of both corporate and agency experience within the Life Sciences industries. Prior to founding Prime Talent Group, Ed held the position of Account Manager at Kaztronix, LLC. There, he held various leadership roles, while establishing the permanent placement division within the company. During this time, he made several key placements across various functional areas: Sales/Marketing, Quality/Regulatory, Operations, Engineering, Market Access and Procurement.

Prior to joining Kaztronix, Ed spent over 5 years learning the corporate recruiting model from organizations such as Johnson & Johnson and Warner Chilcott. This experience gave Ed a perspective from the corporate side of the business in relation to working with agencies. Understanding this partnership from both sides of the fence has allowed Ed to excel in the staffing business. His talent acquisition expertise during this time was identifying sales professionals within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Ed’s recruiting career started with a start-up retained firm called TalenTactics. In this role, he learned the fundamentals of the staffing industry by working on time-compressed sales recruitment within the pharmaceutical and biotech space.
